Lynne, deconstructed astrologically?

Published by *lynne* under Astrology Edit This

Did you know?  Chart analyses of a different sort are going on at Mystery Tour!

Christine was kind enough to agree to provide me with a (public) (Western) astrological chart reading!  It is slowly unfolding as she takes us systematically through the meanings of the different planets located in the different Houses and different (Zodiac signs?).

Try making sense of this! (chart by astro.com)

So far, the readings have looked at implications of the big picture pattern or layout of the chart.  In Part One, the ‘bucket’ layout and the implications of Chiron in Aries and Chiron in my Second House were discussed: there was some major resonance!  In Part Two, an alternate ‘locomotive’ layout and the associated Saturn in Gemini ruling the Fourth House implications were discussed: it also hits pretty close to home.  You can see my feedback in the comments.

Like most people, my knowledge of Astrology is based mostly on those generic all-encompassing Zodiac Horoscopes you might find in the papers.  The main exception is, because of when I was born, most of these horoscopes would claim I’m a Virgo, but there’s no mistaking my Leo-ness, so I knew better than to accept what was said (and to have one sentence apply to all the Leos out there for that one day?  Yeah, right!).

I’ve been mildly curious about astrology, but said curiosity hasn’t prompted me to delve much deeper (instead, I seem to have latched on to Ba Zi instead!).  Unfortunately that means that coming across phrases like Sun Transiting Taurus or Mercury Retrograde would have my eyes glazing over even as I tried to understand the little that I was reading.  As such, I do hope that with this systematic exploration of my chart, I’ll gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the workings of astrology, Western style.
