A glimpse into BaZi / Paht Chee interpretation

Two days ago, Joey Yap posed a question on Facebook: “What sort of life do you think a person with this BaZi would have?“  Please follow the link to see the chart ~and~ to read the 20+ comments by BaZi / Paht Chee interpreters.

My reference books are still unpacked, so I only gave the chart a quick glance myself: what I immediately saw was that the Day Master / Self-Element is very strongly rooted, so the subject is probably “sparkly”, “beautiful”, appealing, in the limelight (think: fine jewelry).  There’s just the one tiny Ding (Yin) Fire hidden in his Year Pillar, so the pretty cold chart (look at all that Metal and Water!) could probably do with a bit more warmth.

The commenters go into a lot of depth, it’s interesting to see what they say; my challenge is to figure out WHY they say what they say!   Many pointed out that there was a Hurting Officer strutcture present — grrr, I do wish Joey Yap would hurry up and get another BaZi book out that would explain this and the other structures!  I don’t have the means to attend his courses at this point in time…!!

Today, Joey Yap provided some feedback: Some of you may see the chart - without Bing Fire, as being extremely cold and miserable. Extremely imbalanced. While some of you, instead of focusing on the ‘gloomy’ picture of the chart, focused on the chart’s strength as a beautiful Xin Metal Hurting officer structure. You guys saw the positive side and discussed his talents and potential skills. Both angles were correct.

So, whose chart was it?

An inspiring gentleman named Nick Vujicic.

Perhaps you’ve heard of him?

According to Joey Yap, Nick has successfully activated the ’strength’ of his BaZi instead of allowing the ‘weakness’ of the chart to rule his life.My thanks to Joey Yap for attempting to reach out and provide an informal coaching session to us BaZi wannabes!

… and I hope Nick’s situation, and how he deals with it, helps us put ~our~ “problems” in perspective.

Peace.

Celebrity suggestions welcome!

Last weekend I double-posted in an attempt to get caught up with the BaZi analyses I ‘owed’ Choy and Apryl.  Then I went out of town for a few days and fell right behind again!  Thankfully Choy’s series is completed, so this week will be catch-up time for Apryl, and this weekend will hopefully be the late start for babyheartjo’s chart reading.  (wondering when your turn is?  Check the queue here!)

Last week also featured my first ever Celebrity BaZi analysis!

If you were to pick up a copy of Joey Yap’s BaZi The Destiny Code Revealed (Delve deeper into the Four Pillars of Destiny) book (and I highly recommend you do if you’re interested in the art and science of BaZi/Paht Chee), there is one chapter devoted exclusively to charts of some famous folk, and how their charts predict/explain what has happened to them.  The celebrities include a beloved princess who died before her time, an author who shot to fame and fortune, and a tv personality who met death at the hands (tail?) of a sea creature.  While some of the statements could be read as conveniently retrofitting ‘what you know happened’ to ‘what the chart might say’, it was still a fascinating read, and served as an inspiration for what I attempted to do with the late David Carradine.

I recently read a Parade Magazine article (I know, I know, Parade Magazine?!) about a very conflicted Shia LaBeouf, so I’ll probably take a look at his chart when I next have the time.  If you are curious about what the BaZi might indicate for other celebrities, do drop me a line in the comments here with your suggestions, and I’ll see what I can do.
