Answers without, answers within

For this week’s PhotoHunt’s theme of STRIPES, I share shots of my card reading set-up.  Until I find some nice green velvet to use as a proper mat, I’m using a striped dish towel upon which I lay out the cards.

I like the effect of light on the deck in this picture…

In the next photo, you might notice some stripes of light reflected on the glossy deck, in addition to the stripes of the cloth reflected on the gold trim on the edge of the cards.

In case you were wondering, you are getting a glimpse of Doreen Virtue’s Ascended Masters Oracle Cards.  Below, you can see a hint of the colorful and intricate designs of the cards - don’t they form stripes of sorts as they sit off-set on the humble dish towel?

Being a Yin Wood, I wear Metal sparingly. But I love the wavy bracelet Kosh gave me when we were first going out, and the braided rings we chose as our wedding band always bring a smile to my face.  Here you see our hands on our wedding day in September 2006.
