Answers without, answers within

After having studied the technical aspects of babyheartjo’s natal BaZi / Paht Chee / Four Pillars / Eight Characters chart, and the static interactions within, today at answers without, answers within let’s look at the dynamic interactions that come into play during two of her Luck Pillars.

First, a quick look at her favourable/unfavourable periods:

It looks like, in very very broadly general terms, that babyheartjo has a pretty good set of Pillars.  There might have been some issues in childhood and early adulthood relating to Fire: her mother, her intuition, or her ability to properly harness / control her thoughts (leading to depression, perhaps?).

From age 26, however, babyheartjo seems to be looking at decades and decades of favourable times.  From ages 26 - 55 her favourable Influence factor is in play, indicating a time for her to excel in her career, move higher up the ranks, and extend her influence (and perhaps find Mr Right too).

From ages 56 - 85, her Wealth factor comes into play, indicating a great time to reap the benefits of the career advancement from the previous period.

Career progression

In her early 30s, babyheartjo is now in the 26-35 Bing Chen Luck Pillar, with Yang Fire in the Heavenly Stem and a Yang Earth Dragon in the Earthly Branch.  This is a pretty calm period in her life: the only static interaction present is an incomplete Dragon-Rat-(Monkey) Water Frame Three Harmony Combination (the Rat and Dragon would like to combine, but during this Luck Pillar, the Year of the Monkey does not occur).  Thus, this decade is probably a good time to start her career, and move on up.  Since she is a strong Earth, she would do well to work in a Wood-related field, paving the way for the two strongly-Wood decades to come.

Caution in relationships is urged at 36-45!

In the following Luck Pillar, there is Yin Wood in the Heavenly Stem and a Yin Wood Rabbit in the Earthly Branch. That’s a lot of (favourable) Wood, correlating to her Influence factor, which can indicate continued upward mobility in her career and/or activity relating to significant other(s).

I’m thinking signs might indicate caution in relationships during this time:

• Note that the Rabbit is another Peach Blossom Star, so during this period, babyheartjo has three of the Stars in play - that’s two too many in most cases.
• There is a Rabbit-Rat ‘Uncivilised Punishment’ involving the Spouse Palace.  There is cause for caution and concern here, as this interaction indicates the occurrence of a situation involving disloyalty, or sexual-related harassment, something in that vein.  That this occurs in the Spouse Palace gives me pause, and cause for concern.
• The Dragon and Goat are two out of the three necessary to form a Wood Frame Three Harmony Combination.  This combination was complete in 2007, during the year of the Pig.  During this time, Wood was boosted even more: more upward mobility, or more possible suitors at her door.
• There is a Rabbit-Horse Destruction involving the Grandparents Pillar / extended family.  A Destruction indicates “… the presence of behaviour or relationships or outcomes that are damaging in nature to the person.” (source, pg 201)    Since it weakens Fire, this interaction might end up being a tough but needed lesson, something that turns out to be good for babyheartjo in the long run.

The way I see it, in one way or another most of the dynamic interactions that come into play during this Luck Pillar indicate a tumultuous time relationship-wise.  Babyheartjo might be well advised to go through this period with some caution when it comes to relationships.

Yesterday we were able to already make some interesting observations about how precious the Wood, Water and Metal elements are to babyheartjo based on their quantity and location in her chart.  Today let’s take a look at the static interactions present in her chart, and see how they impact the Snake (only source of Metal / Output), Rat (only source of Water / Wealth) and Goat (only source of Wood / Influence).

A Harm, a Combination and two Peach Blossom Stars

It looks like the Snake remains untouched, and therefore the source of Metal / Output factor is ’safe’.  Can’t say the same for the others:

Rat-Goat Harm

The Rat and Goat in the Day and Month Pillars respectively interact in the form of a Harm: Harms usually involve feeling of betrayal, with tormenting, lingering after-effects.  And while a Harm indicates a once-off incident, said incident usually comes out of nowhere, and is difficult to be prepared for.  This indicates an incident occurring between her spouse and her parents; I think Water ‘triumphs’ in this interaction, so babyheartjo’s spouse is likely to ‘win’ the encounter.  I think this also implies the source of Water is ’safe’ too.  However, the same probably cannot be said for the Goat / Wood.

Goat-Horse Combination

The Goat and Horse in the Month and Year Pillars respectively interact in the form of a Combination, forming Fire.  Being a strong Earth Self-Element, babyheartjo doesn’t need more Fire in the chart (which produces Earth), so this combination is unfavourable to her.  This might indicate that throughout her life, her parents and her extended family might get along well, but somehow that camaraderie ends up working against babyheartjo.  Since the Fire relates to her Resource factor, the issue might be relating to her mother, her intuition, of her ability to properly harness / control her thoughts (perhaps leading to depression).

Peach Blossom Stars

Note the red stars in the chart: the Rat in the Spouse Palace and the Horse in the Grandparents Palace are Peach Blossom Stars.  In general, having a Peach Blossom Star or two in one’s chart indicates a reasonable-to-slightly-excessive amount of that X-factor, charisma, magnetism, etc that makes one attractive to others.  Having one of them in the Spouse palace I read as positive, and there is attraction between babyheartjo and her spouse.  She needs to just be aware that every 3rd Luck Pillar brings another Peach Blossom Star into play, and too much of anything is not a good thing, especially when it comes to these Stars.
