Answers without, answers within

jasmin-k recently wrote in requesting a Free Card Reading, citing two main questions relating to 1. her love life, and 2. her job prospects.  As usual, I chose Doreen Virtue’s Ascended Masters Oracle Cards to help with the answers.

Question One:  My main concern is my boyfriend: are we going to go back to each other or am I going to find a better potential?

Note: Yes/No and either/or questions aren’t best suited for these cards.  As such, I asked for an indication of what was going on in jasmin-k’s life in relation to the boyfriend.

Result:

Past: Open Your Heart to Love (Jesus)
Present: Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter (Lady Nada)
Future: Father, Husband, Brother, Son (Osiris)

Interpretation:
The “Past” card speaks about the immediate past in relation to the question asked.  In this case Jesus is present, indicating that you may be having difficulty figuring what it is your heart really needs/wants.  Since your question is about whether your boyfriend is a keeper or not, perhaps this can be further interpreted that you find yourself unable to really love him, or you wonder if he’s worth loving, etc, hence your question.

The “Present” card speaks about your question’s current status, or what you need to know / need to work on right now.  The presence of Lady Nada indicates that there is a strong influence of at least one woman in your life right now that’s impacting your relationship with your boyfriend (who popped into your mind as you read that sentence, jasmin-k?  That person is probably the one Lady Nada is talking about).  You probably need to resolve this issue before the question of your boyfriend can be resolved.

The “Future” card speaks about what awaits you if you take the advice and walk the path indicated in the previous card.  Interestingly enough, it is the male equivalent to Lady Nada, thus indicating a significant male presence in your future.  This seems to confirm my impression of the previous card: resolving whatever conflict that may be happening between you and this other woman should then pave the way to “the one”.  Of course, whether this is the boyfriend you mention in your question, or if it’s someone as yet unmet, I have no idea.  Why don’t you cross that bridge when you come to it?

Since “resolving issues with this other woman” seems key to your question, I drew a follow-up card, seeking clarification and further advice on what might be done to help with resolution:

Clarification:  See the Other Person’s Point of View (Avalokitesvara)

That seems pretty straightforward, doesn’t it?  Seeing the other person’s point of view doesn’t mean giving in or acquiescing — it means putting yourself in the other person’s shoes, and understanding their concerns and reasons for blocking you (or whatever).  By consciously allowing for points of view other than your own, it opens the door to creative solutions to what might otherwise seem to be an unresolvable situation.  Sometimes, an acknowledgment of not seeing eye-to-eye (agreeing to disagree) is all it takes to clear the air.

As such, in terms of jasmin-k’s boyfriend question, the cards are telling me that she needs to resolve issues with this significant woman in her life first.

Next, the job question:

Result:

Past: Detach from Drama (Pallas Athena)
Present: Teacher (Mahachohan Ragoczy)
Future: Retreat into Nature (Green Man)

The “Past” card speaks about the immediate past in relation to the question asked.  Pallas Athena’s presence indicates that previously you were probably swept up and away by other people’s swirling egos and dramas, perhaps you were drawn in by wanting to help others but then found yourself caught as bad or worse than they were.  The indication here is that you have probably managed to extricate yourself from this situation, and upon getting some perspective, are now looking to re-embark on a career for yourself.

The “Present” card speaks about your question’s current status, or what you need to know / need to work on right now.  Ragoczy’s presence indicates that you have a wealth of experience that you should be sharing with others, in order to help them learn and grow.  Perhaps this is an indication that you could look into counselling or consulting types of career paths?

The “Future” card speaks about what awaits you if you take the advice and walk the path indicated in the previous card.  Interestingly, the Green Man can indicate that your life calling is something to do with the environment, and perhaps this is somewhere you’ll end up as a result of taking up the teacher / mentor mantle suggested in the previous card.  Of course, it could also mean that whatever job you do end up in, it may be something that drains you, and thus the Green Man invites you to regularly spend some time in Nature, in order to replenish your energy and Self.

Of course, the definition of “a good” job” differs from person to person.  If nothing else, the cards have indicated that jasmin-k might be advised to consider being a teacher, counsellor, mentor or consultant, leveraging her own experiences and sharing them with others.
