Paht Chee / Ba Zi analysis for Lilith: Ten Luck Pillars (2)

Published by *lynne* under Ba Zi, Paht Chee, zLilith Edit This

… a little late, but here’s the final installment of Lilith’s Paht Chee / Ba Zi chart analysis.  Today, we look at the Ten Luck Pillars, keeping in mind Lilith’s self-element (Yin Earth) and how the other elements relate to her, and what they represent.

Confused?  Take a look again at this chart, and the table below it:

Lilith had asked for career-related insight.  As you can see, all five elements correlate to various aspects of life.  Success in one’s career can be indicated by Wealth (Water, in this case) and Recognition, Power, Rank (in this case, Wood).

Thing is, I see water only in the early years (7-11, 17-21, 27-31).  This can indicate that Lilith’s Wealth comes from her parents, i.e. she had a pretty financially-comfortable childhood.  Her own wealth creation might occur mainly during the 27-31 period, but since it’s a Yin Water, it might not have been that lucrative…

Looking at the Recognition, Power, Rank aspect, it is important to note that these three words do have rather different angles: they come into play a little later in life (37-41, 47-51), which is fine, one does have to take some time to build one’s power base, climb the corporate ladder, etc.

It’s great to see all that Fire interspersed among the above Wood and Water; Fire correlates to Resource, Support, Authority. This indicates times where Lilith has resources at hand, support she can tap into easily, and where she builds up her own authority (which helps with the Recognition etc we already mentioned).

So, in really general terms, I read the above to show that while Lilith might not be pulling in the big bucks, she does gain recognition for her abilities and achievements, and will have plenty of support and resources at her disposal.

Lilith already has a post talking about how this Paht Chee analysis fits, or doesn’t, with how her life has turned out so far. Do check it out here: This Metal Pig’s Paht Chee Reading.  It’s great to get some sort of feedback about the reading - always good to know what things resonate, which don’t seem quite right, etc etc.  Thanks, Lilith!

My apologies for stretching this out over more than a week: other aspects of life were fighting for my attention… and they continue to do so.  I’ll continue to juggle them all, although I may have to take it easy on specific Paht Chee analyses… can I interest anyone in Card Readings instead?  :D  That said…

Paht Chee / Ba Zi analysis for Lilith: Ten Luck Pillars (1)

We’re still looking at the Paht Chee / Ba Zi chart of Lilith, from The Shadow of Doubt. Armed with information we’ve gathered over the past three posts, today we take a stab at what is called the Ten Luck Pillars, which cover about 80 years of one’s life. Here’s how it looks like:

Lilith had asked for career-related insight.

Cycle of Chi

Let’s first take a stab at it by using what was covered when discussing “timing”: if you recall, her Coming of Age element was Metal which represented Opportunity. Coming of Age is usually considered to occur in the early 20s. So let’s look at the pillar corresponding to ages 17 - 26:

  • At 17 - 21 it’s a time of Water … which exhausts the Opportunity Chi of Metal.
  • At 22 - 26, it’s a time of Fire … which destroys Opportunity Chi of Metal.

To me, this implies that despite the potential for great opportunity, it might have been difficult for Lilith to actually capitalise on the opportunities at this time.  As the Coming of Age time is all about establishing oneself in the workplace, in society, I wonder if Lilith’s early worklife might have been rocky.  (Remember in Part One when I said there seemed to be a lot of “tendency of letting opportunities slip by”? Perhaps this is related?)

The next phase of life is Adulthood, which in Lilith’s case was of the Water element, which represented Fate.  In general, FATE suggests a dramatic moment, a particularly important turning point in one’s life, the occurrence of a major change in one’s life.  We can see Water at age 27 - 31, so if Fate were to strike, that would be the time.  It could involve travel, a journey, or something to do with enhanced flow of communication, of money.  Among so many other things, this could indicate a windfall, or something drastic happening career-wise.

Finally, let’s take a look at Maturity, whose element is Lilith’s case is Wood, which represents Family.  There is an implication of growth - whether in numbers or wealth (from a good career?), of the family.  There is an implication of good descendants, i.e. good sons & daughters who bring honor to the family.  When does this occur?  Looking at the Pillars, I see Wood occurring at age 37 - 41, so this could be the time for family to be a big part of Lilith’s life, and career less so.

You can look at the remaining two phases of life and their corresponding elements and Chi energy on your own - they are past the career-related timeframe, so I will let them be for this analysis.

Summary: Lilith might have had a rocky start when venturing out into the world.  Opportunities didn’t get capitalised on.  However, she reached some sort of turning point in her late 20s/early 30s.  Her focus will turn to her family in her late 30s.

We’ll tackle another way of looking at the Ten Luck Pillars tomorrow.  In the meantime…
