Catching up: Mr N’s BaZi questions answered

Published by *lynne* under Ba Zi, Paht Chee, zMr N Edit This

Over two weeks ago, we were introduced to Mr N, who wondered if the BaZi would shed some light on a pattern he had noticed about his life.  I hadn’t been too sure about determining the strength of Mr N’s Self-Element, and had thus put Mr N’s analysis on hold while awaiting feedback from my mentor.

She has since weighed in such that I’ll just hand the post over to her:

Strength of Self-Element:  Mr N is a strong Fire self-element.
Explanation:  Yin Wood (from his earth branch - children’s pillar) supports Fire;  and Yin Water and Yin Earth are insufficient to suppress this.  He has 2 Yin Fire and 1 Yang Fire.  Also, although he was born in Autumn, he has hidden fire elements that help support and strengthen his Self-Element.

Rooster (from sxc)

Rooster years, he will encounter sickness (Funeral door - not death but illness) and some separation issues e.g friendships are jittery and for no apparent reason, he may encountered his friends staying away from him or his spouse/children are aloof from him)

Monkey years, he is prone to being more lonely and he may encounter situations like robbery… meaning that he may be more careless in protecting his personal belongings and may be reckless in driving… perhaps lack of mental concentration.

May even have minor accidents like twisting his ankle, hurting himself and getting blue black knocks on himself… like not watching where he is going while walking…

His main problem with health or minor sickness began from age 40 and it will carry on until he leaves this world. Rabbit in his chart clashes with Rooster more when he reaches 55, this means he has to be very careful of his wealth. He will face many problems in financial areas.

Yes, 2016/2017, he has to be extremely careful of his health. It is not because of Rooster or Monkey year, but it’s his destiny to go thru this process. He needs to layback and do more charity work to ward off his bad energy during this period. Donate blood is one way.

From age 50 to 55, he is going thru Water period which makes his Fire weaker. He needs more Wood into his chart. Tell him to go for Greens… Take a walk and engage himself with nature. This will regenerate his energy.

Other observations: Whilst he is financially secured (his chart indicates age 29/30 - he received a windfall/inheritance) yet he is a lonely person. If he is married, he is very authoritative with his kids. He has high expectations from his kids to excel. He pressures them. Being an above intelligent person than norm, sometimes, he doesn’t see other capabilities and he tends to compare himself with others. He thinks he is always right and knows best.

.

My thanks to my mentor for all the above.  Now for me to work backwards and correlate her statements with what I can / can’t see in Mr N’s chart!  Hooray for the learning curve!!

Mr N: A Health-related BaZi / Paht Chee analysis (1)

Published by *lynne* under Ba Zi, Paht Chee, zMr N Edit This

Mr N wrote me about a month ago, asking for a Ba Zi / Paht Chee reading.  He had a very specific question, though.  He explained that about every 11-12 years or so, he seems to be struck with serious, sometimes deadly, illnesses or accidents.  Born in 1956, he was hospitalised in 1957 for encephalitis.  1969 involved his appendix, 1981 a car accident, 1992 a leg-related work injury, and most recently in 2004 a pulmonary embolism. He found out that these years were either Rooster (1957, 1969, 1981) or Monkey (1992, 2004) years according to the Chinese calendar, and wants to know if there’s a connection, and whether he’s in for another nasty surprise in 2016/2017 when the Rooster and Monkey years come around again.

… before we tackle the question, first let’s do the usual assessment of his chart, to get a general feel for it:

Paht chee / Ba Zi Four Pillars Eight Characters (Mr N) (Joey Yap version)
The above image is produced by Joey Yap’s online Ming Pan Bazi calculator

.
Born in Autumn when Metal, followed by Water, are strongest, Mr N seems to then be a weak Yin Fire.  But I don’t think he’s that weak.  You see, his Fire is “rooted” in the Hidden Stem (the same symbol as his Self-Element is present under the Goat), *and* he’s got another Fire next to him, lending him support.  And while Joey Yap cautions against going for quantity, there *are* a lot of Fire elements in this chart compared to the others.   This leads me to think that he might just be on the borderline  is thus a weak (but not that weak) Yin Fire.

I can’t just flub it and move on, however, because it’s only once the strength of the self-element is determined can the favourable and unfavourable elements be identified.

In the end, I have to refer to my Mentor.  I’ll continue with this analysis once I get her input.  In the meantime, here’s a little more that I can say about Mr N’s four Pillars:

A first look at Mr N’s Four Pillars static interactions

At first I wondered if the presence of both the Monkey and Rooster in Mr N’s chart might interact somehow to produce those incidents experienced by Mr N.  Sadly (or not), the answer is not.

Frankly, I was rather disappointed to see so few interactions among the Branches of Mr N’s Four Pillars: I somehow thought I would see a whole bunch of clashes, punishments, harms and unfavourable combinations.  Instead, I see only two things, as covered below.

This implies that if there is an answer to Mr N’s question, it exists on a much more subtle level within the BaZi.  All the more reason to enlist my Mentor!

Goat-Rabbit: ⅔ of Wood Frame Three Harmony Combination
Technically, this is a dynamic interaction, because the Wood Frame Three Harmony Combination only comes into fruition when Pig comes into play (any Year of the Pig, or, during the Ji Hai Luck Pillar that came into play when Mr N was aged 10 - 19). This combination brings a whole bunch of Wood into Mr N’s chart.  [If Mr N is a weak Yin Fire, then this is good for him as it would help “feed” and strengthen his Fire; on the other hand, if Mr N is a strong Yin Fire, this would throw his chart into further imbalance, as the Wood would make his Fire flare up even more … remember, BaZi is all about balance!]

Peach Blossom Stars
Mr N has two Peach Blossom stars in his chart. This indicates Mr N has quite a bit of that X-Factor that makes him quite attractive and charismatic, and probably drawing the attention of the girls. Interestingly, these two stars are flanking Mr N’s Spouse Palace. I take this to indicate that while he might be quite the ladies’ man, he might not be the settling down kind of guy.

Another thing to note is that Mr N’s own Peach Blossom star is the Rat, which came into play when he was 20 - 29 years old.  During this time he had THREE of these stars exerting their influence on him.  This was probably a crazily intense time of social upward mobility, perhaps even womanising.

= = =

That’s about all I can and will say until the strength of Mr N’s  Self-Element is determined.  In the meantime …

… if you would like a free Paht Chee chart analysis of your own, I’ll be happy to provide you with one, discussed publicly on this blog.  Remember, I am not an expert, and I’m doing this for the practice!!  If you want a guaranteed-correct reading, I advise you to engage the services of a professional Paht Chee / Ba Zi Master, okay?  Still interested?  Head on over to Free Readings for You! and read it carefully, then drop me a line.  I also offer card readings, so see what appeals to you most.  I look forward to hearing from you.  Cheers!
