free Paht Chee chart analysis for Mr X: Part Four
… and now the home stretch! After having looked at what Mr X’s Four Pillars / Eight Characters had to say here here and here, let’s turn our attention to what is called the Ten Luck Pillars:

Remember that Mr X is a Strong Yang Fire. Yang and Yang interactions tend to be loud, clashing, challenging. Without any other knowledge, look at those 10-year pillars. Do you see a definite Yang / Yin / Yang / Yin pattern? I would be interested to know if Mr X has noticed a definite up-and-down pattern every decade or so.
Remember also that Mr X is missing Metal from his Basket of Elements. If you can make out from the table above, Metal is associated with Mr X’s wealth and financial success. As such, achieving this aspect is probably going to be a challenge for him: he might strive and work hard, but still barely eke out a living, and needs to supplement the missing Metal to bring his luck into balance…
*however*
… periods of time that are of the Metal element would be better years for him financially, since Mr X wouldn’t have to “add” the element, it’s already there working for him. See the pillars corresponding to ages 33-37 (Good), 43-47 (okay - Yang will clash/reduce the positivity of the metal), 58-62 (Good), 68-72 (okay).
Now let’s take a quick look at each pillar:
3-12 years:
Mr X’s early childhood was probably quite challenging. This was the time for resources, support and authority, but it being all Yang indicates clashes/uphill battles.
13-22 years:
things were good, Mr X got/earned recognition and creativity developed/manifested
23-32 years:
a lot of recognition and influence; however, he might have had to work particularly hard for it.
33-42 years:
an excellent 10 years in terms of wealth or financial success and recognition
43-52 years:
the first 5 years or so are still financially successful, but have to work hard at it. The following 5 years are a time for utilising intelligence/creativity (a different way of looking at or doing things, perhaps). It’s all Yang, though, so expect colorful clashes.
53-62 years:
A second good ten years, a continuation of the creativity from the previous 5 years, and financial/wealth generated.
63-72 years:
a challenging period (all Yang!), but again, there’s Metal in the latter 5 years, so there is still the wealth factor that should work for his benefit.
73-82 years:
a good period. It is only at this stage in life that friends and colleagues come into play: fortunately, they are true friends, not false ones.
I find it interesting that Mr X has a lot of water (very good), earth (good) and metal (good, both as wealth and to make up for its lack in his “basket of elements”) in the years between 13 and 72. As such, he has all the elements in play pretty much all the time. Perhaps an awareness of the overall Yang- or Yin-ness of that particular 10-year period, and the specific elements in play, might help give him the edge he needs to weather the challenges life has lined up for him.
And there you have it. This has been my overlong attempt at providing an overview of Mr X’s Paht Chee chart. I hope it has been educational for my readers too.
