Career Analysis for Ms PC: a supplemental BaZi / Paht Chee analysis

Published by *lynne* under Ba Zi, Paht Chee, zMs PC Edit This

A little while ago, answers without, answers within featured four posts analysing the BaZi / Paht Chee chart of Ms PC.  Recently, Ms PC provided some feedback — yay! — and also requested an additional look at her chart, specifically for what can be said about her career.

Looking at the Wealth factor

 Hour  Day  Month  Year
Yin Metal Yin Earth Yin Metal Yin Metal
Goat
Yin Earth
Pig
Yin Water
Rabbit
Yin Wood
Rooster
Yin Metal
(Yin Wood)
(Yin Earth)
(Yin Fire)
(Yang Water)
(Yang Wood)
(Yin Wood)
(Yin Metal)

First, let’s take a look at what can be said about Ms PC’s Wealth factor.  Being a weak Yin Earth self-element, her Wealth factor is Water: there is one Water element in her chart - yay!

Interestingly, her Water/Wealth element appears in the Spouse Palace: I wonder… does this mean it is her husband that is the source of her wealth?

Keep in mind also that the Goat - Pig - Rabbit combine to produce a very strong Wood presence in Ms PC’s chart.  Whether this combination “takes away” the Water, or whether the Wood is present in addition to the Water, I’m not sure.  This of course makes a great difference, for without the Water present, even the potential for generating let alone accumulating Wealth isn’t there, presenting a challenging time for Ms PC.

Another way to evaluate Ms PC’s wealth potential:  Being a weak Yin Earth, can Ms PC successfully control her Wealth element?  Let’s take a closer look (the Wood Frame Three Harmony Combination notwithstanding):

  • since there are more Earth elements (2) than Water (1) in this chart, one might say that Ms PC is able to control her Wealth element.  However, Joey Yap is quick to point out that quality trumps quantity, so let’s dig a little deeper…
  • … the Metal element is “well-rooted”/”penetrates to the heavens” and thus is quite dominant in this chart (see the elements in the Year column).  Metal exhausts Earth, and thus further weakens Ms PC’s already weak self-element.

As such, to me it looks like Ms PC is unable to control her Water / Wealth element.  Therefore, first and foremost, it is imperative that Ms PC strengthen her Earth-ness in order to help herself generate earn/generate Wealth, i.e. gain control over her Wealth element.

Since at the moment she doesn’t exert control over her Wealth element, it makes no sense to work in a Water-related industry, as the water might just as well wash Ms PC away.  Thus the earlier advice of working in the Fire industry (which produces Earth) still stands.

In fact, as highlighted in Part One, Ms PC is currently going through summer / Fire Luck pillars:  therefore now is the time that she should be at her strongest, and excelling in her career path.

The other factors are also important

… of course, one’s career isn’t only read by looking at Wealth.  A successful career involves being able to produce the work required, perhaps creatively and innovatively (Output factor - Metal), and also being able to build a power base and climb the ranks (Influence factor - Wood).  Having a positive relationship with colleagues, and successful partnerships (Companion factor - Earth) is also important, as is the availability and ability to tap into various resources, and having the interest to keep learning (Resource factor - Fire).

In Ms PC’s case, her Wealth, Output and Influence factors are unfavourable due to her being a weak Yin Earth self-element.  As we’ve seen over the course of her analysis, her Metal and Wood — Output and Influence — are rather strong in her chart.  She may thus find it difficult to get the recognition she deserves for the work she produces.  She may be better off looking to work with others, and cultivating good friendships with colleagues, as the Companion factor is favourable for her.  With the Resource element also being favourable, Ms PC is likely to enjoy learning new things, challenging herself, and improving herself.

So, what can we say about Ms PC’s career?

Currently being in the summer / Fire Luck Period (age 15 - 44) is a good time for Ms PC career-wise.  If she is in the Fire industry, even better.  She shouldn’t hesitate to learn new things, to improve herself.  Since the Fire in this period should Burn the excess Wood in her chart, she should be able to manage her Influence factor better, i.e. gain recognition and influence, and therefore see some upward mobility during this time.  The Fire also serves to control the strong Metal presence, thus allowing Ms PC to manage her Output factor better as well, i.e. fully use her intelligence and creativity in the course of her job, to produce great results.

… and that’s about all I can say about that!

Ba Zi for Ms PC: Part Four

Published by *lynne* under Ba Zi, Paht Chee, zMs PC Edit This

Hi folks! Ready for another round of Ba Zi / Paht Chee / Four Pillars / Eight Characters exploration? Let’s move right along to exploring what might be awaiting Ms PC in the future, at ages 65-74, as indicated by interactions between her Four Pillars and the Wu Xu Luck Pillar in play at that time:

Paht Chee / Ba Zi showing interaction with Jia Wu, Yi Wei and Wu Xu Luck Pillars
Ms PC’s Four Pillars, and how they interact with some Luck Pillars
.

Dog-Rooster Harm

In general, a Harm is something that kinda sneaks up on you, has a tormenting long-term impact on you, usually due to the result of something someone does to you. In this case, we see a Harm happening at the Year Branch, corresponding to the Grandparents Palace, indicating the extended family.  The interaction involves Metal, which exhausts Ms PC’s already weak Yin Earth-ness.  Since Metal correlates to Ms PC’s Output factor, this might indicate a situation where something she produces, something resulting from her own creativity, ends up alienating her extended family.
.

Dog-Rabbit Combination

The combination of Dog with the Rabbit in Ms PC’s Month Branch is one that potentially could produce Fire.  As was the case in the previous post, Fire is supported thanks to the season (and the Wood Frame Three Harmony Combination!), and therefore can come into play at this time.  As this interaction takes place in the Parents’ Palace, and as this interaction results in a favourable Resource factor for Ms PC, it might indicate a particularly good time for Ms PC in terms of learning, or of her relationship with her mother.  This might be a great support to have while dealing with whatever mess the above Harm might bring!
.

Dog-Goat ⅔ Bullying Punishment

Finally, we have ⅔ of the items needed to produce a Bullying Punishment: here we have the Dog and Goat; what’s missing is Ox.  So keep in mind, Ms PC, that when the Year of the Ox comes by during this time (and I think, if I did the math right, that occurs as you turn 65?), the Bullying Punishment is complete.  So for the first year in this Pillar, this Punishment comes fully into play, and the following nine years, you have this Punishment on a much smaller scale.  … but what Punishment?, you ask.

Bullying Punishment is a situation where you find yourself trapped in a corner, facing insurmountable odds.  David vs Goliath, without the happy ending.  And, worst of all, it happens because of your own actions, or inactions, in the past.  In this case, this Punishment involves the Children’s Palace, and thus Ms PC’s relationship with her offspring.  Since it also involves Earth, Ms PC’s Companion factor, the possible estrangement with her children might arise from Ms PC’s poor handling of her time spent with friends and colleagues, perhaps.

In summary:

Ms PC wanted an overview of her chart with the intention of getting a handle on what is currently going on in her life, and getting information on how to strengthen her ‘weak areas’.  I hope you agree that these past four posts have helped address her two questions:

“what’s going on?”: In general, there is a lot of activity in Ms PC’s chart when looked at in Static mode (i.e. not even looking at interactions with the Luck Pillars), so I think Ms PC will have a lot of “stuff” going on no matter what. In addition, it seems as if there’s a substantial amount of “boy trouble” she’s up against, especially right now.

“strengthen weak areas?”: There seems to be one main culprit - Wood. Counter this with Fire (see bottom of post). Not only does Fire serve to exhaust the overly powerful Wood in her chart, Fire also produces Earth — Ms PC’s Self-Element.
